Abstract EN

In the ancient Arab critical studies, there are many applications whose disjointed parts cannot be philosophically brought into one whole theory which discloses the visions and views hidden behind it.

As the attention given to the form is one of the major aesthetic factors which command one’s interest, I have brought foreword the relationship between the Arab interest in the form and the architectural activity in the bygone ages; and directed my intensive efforts to reveal and focus on the anxiety of the Arab critic to feet and touch upon his old aesthetic talents.

Then, I moved to the Modern Arabic poetry which made good and intensive use of the foreign schools of criticism and its theoretical philosophies such as the Idealists and the Positivists and their followers such as the formalists in Russia and the Structural Stylists and their followers such as the seiologists, the Deconostructionists.

I have also disclosed the development of the Formalistic Theory in the Modern Arabic Criticism from the ' ‘Uh century Classicists to the turbulent stage which our present literary criticism is now passing through.

In substantiation of all that I have already mentioned, I have here included three of my applied critical studies through which I arrived at the development of the theory of Form and the aesthetic visions which get full controsl of it.
