Abstract EN

Although many Arab universities are interested in the study of the Israeli economy, it is very hard to find literature about the Israeli banks which operated in the Palestinian territories during the Israeli military occupation, i.e.

during the period of 1967 -1993.

The main aim of this paper is to fill a gab in the banking literature by building a framework to analyze and to examine the role of the Israeli banks which operated in Palestine during the period of 1967 - 1993.

The results of this research show that the Israeli banks did not satisfy the demand for banking services , neither they offered services such as that of the Israeli society
