Abstract EN

The purpose behind lamentation during the pre-Islam era was weeping , crying and feeling sorry for somebody's death , if this one died murdered or normally .

Poets used to mention his good merits, behavior and morals and his proper dealing.

But the lamentation took a big turning during the Islamic era because the Islamic religion changed the people's spirits and polished them.

It made the man believes in his destiny.

And so lamentation was almost bereaved during that era, except the lamentation of Prophet Mohammed (Allah's blessings upon him)
