Abstract EN

This research studies the relationship between rainfall, ground water and springs and the population consumption in the West Bank and Gaza Strip between 1980- 2010.It depends on the last data of rainfall, groundwater springs and population obtained from several authorized Palestinian Authority Centers.The study consists of three subjects.The first part studies the objectives and methodology of the research and the second part tackles and analyzes the amounts of rainfall, pumped water from wells, and amounts of outflow water from springs in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

The third part tackles moving averages of the rains and the relationship between the increasing population and pumped water from wells and springs.Finally it, summarizes the results and suggestions.One of the important results shows that there is very big relationship between the amounts of rainfall and the amounts of groundwater in West Bank and that was obviously shown by the population and pumped water from wells in West Bank and Gaza Strip.The study concludes with the most important solutions and suggestions to limit and reduce this problem.
