This paper deals with the Iraqi relationships during the first period of the republic (1958-1963) and their reflections in Iraqi journalism on different .

These relations were based on the economic and political aspects and the attitudes of the Soviet Union towards the events and nationals issues such as attitudes towards the Iraqi communist party and Mosul revolution 1959, the withdrawal of Iraq from Baghdad pact and the attempt to assassinate Abdul – Kareem Qasim, the attitudes of the Iraq journalism which was accompanied by the journalist campaign between Iraq and the Soviet Union and its direct effect on political relations between them till the revolution of February 1963 .
