Abstract EN

The test is presented to panel pf experts to make sure of its validity.

The reliability of the test is 0.87 calculated by using Kudor-Richardson Equation.

Necessary analytical, descriptive and statistical treatments are used.

Mono-variance and Scheffe’s Test are also used for the purpose of comparison and to examine the influence of methods on the related variables as represented by achievement and critical thinking.

The following results are arrived at: 1.

There are statistically significant differences between the first experimental group which is taught by the cooperative learning method and the control group which is taught by the traditional method in their achievement in general geography and infavour of cooperative learning .

2.

There are statistically significant differences between the first experimental group which is taught according to the cooperative learning method and the control group which is taught in the traditional method in the ability to think critically and in favour of cooperative learning.

In the light of previous results, the researcher recommends that special attention should be given to individual and cooperative learning methods in teaching geography in teacher’s College of Education.

The researcher also recommends that further studies can be carried out to open new future horizons for further researchers related to the present work.
