Abstract EN
The aim of this work is to study to the fixation of lead ions (Pb2+) in aqueous solution by adsorption on natural phosphate (NP).
Batch tests were conducted to study the effect of the mass of phosphate, pH, contact time and temperature.
Ultimate adsorption capacity for a concentration CPb 2+ = 50 mg.L-1 and a mass of phosphate 4 g.L-1 at pH between 5 to 6, for 60 minutes of contact and at a temperature of 25 °C, is Qe = 12.50 mg.g-1.
The kinetic model of pseudo-second-order is the best in the description of the evolution of removing lead ions at different temperatures (25, 35 and 45 °C).
According to the thermodynamic parameters (H°, G° and S°) it is shown that the binding of Pb2+ by PN is an exothermic and spontaneous process.
