Abstract EN

Lighting is considered one of the most important elements of the cinema expression (Film expression).

It comes in the second stage after the camera as Marcel Martin mentioned in his book (The language of the film) and also the other films experts.

The setting, on the other hand, is also considered as one of the most important elements in creating adramatic atmosphere in the film.

Through the connection of these two elements (lighting and setting) we can create or find wide fields to reinforce and deepen the movie picture and its meaning.

Threfore this research is about how to find clear and limited thoughts (expressions) to those two elements, through the experiments known in the world and also through personal experiments in this field.

It is an attempt to explain the great importance of lighting and setting in movies
