Abstract EN

The aim of this research was to elucidate the importance of the role of the family in upbringing the children and stating the educational programme that could achieve this goal by knowing the right nurturing foundations in all sides of the child character.

The research problem lays in the notion that many families are not aware of the importance of their role in upbringing their children, however, they don’t know the correct method of bringing up children or they are not giving much attention to that role or even the non existence of the family itself which is considered the core foundation of upbringing of children.

This phenomenon leads to negative results in the community ; hence this research is going to answer the question of what is the role of family in upbringing ? children and how could one achieve that ? and what are the impact on children ? The researcher adopted the descriptive analytical approach and inductive approach to reach the following findings : The family represents the social vessel that through which the child receives knowledge and values and how to deal with others and the whole world in a consistent manner.

The basis of good upbringing is the good environment (parents) who represent a good example for their children.

Good upbringing could only be achieved by satisfying the essential needs of children, such as psychological, religious, and social on values around.
