Abstract EN

Designing typographical letters still one of the domains that in need of further studies and experiments which enable us to perish the depth of this field that associates both technical and technological advancement.

Most of the typographical scripts .which emerged till this times was not satisfy enough the increasing demands of computer users like designers and others، this motivated me to begin this research which I think would be novel addition to typographical letters designing.

I discussed in this study the stages that writing passed through before reaching its present shape pursuant to the advancement and growth of human mind according to increase in information and knowledge around him.

Through this study I tried to benefit from Arabic script inheritance that is by Turning to the history of Arabic script and Kofi handwriting as one of the ancient Arabic script that distinguished by geometrical shapes that facilitates us programming them in the meant programs، this study concentrates in designing new typographical letter derived from the Kofi handwriting to be used as font in computer systems.
