Abstract EN

The signs of Revolt appear clearly in Poetry of Mohamed Mohamed Ali.

It was a total revolt that covered all aspects of life.

It started with nationalism and anti-colonialists sentiments.

Then it further covered his revolt against the living reality; and its poverty, ignorance and backwardness.

Likewise, there is his revolt against his ‘shaikhs’, in “Al-Maahad Al-Ilmi”; which included the syllabuses and conventions, as well as the religious restrictions, which he saw as forbidding him to enjoy life, as he saw it fit for himself.

In addition, there were other revolts.

These revolts, left several matters in the soul of the poet, which sign-post were clearly seen, in his poetry, as represented by anxiety, depression, tension and the feeling of loneliness.

They all gathered in the sensitive personality of the poet and pushed him to the search for an escape.

So, he escaped to the world of beauty, to dissolve his soul, in it and ask for his recourse.

At times, he escaped to the world of what absents him from this universe, where he would find his comfort in romanticism.

Others, he fled to the world of Sufism and toil of his soul.

Thus, he toured all these worlds until he reached the world of eternal silence.
