The notion of essentially λ-Hankel operators is introduced on the space H2.

In addition to the discussion of some algebraic and topological properties of the set essHankλ , the set of all essentially λ-Hankel operators on H2, it is shown that an essentially Toeplitz Rhaly operator with determining sequence 〈an〉 is in essHankλλ≠0 if and only if limn→∞n+1an=0.
