This article is in line with the context of the medicopsychopedagogic action toward the handicapped children and the accompaniment of their parents.

In fact, the outcome of this long, difficult and painful journey is feasible only when it is started as early as possible, in a structure that is well adapted to such type of situations where infancy professionals co-operate together in a coordinated and harmonious manner according to the child’s needs.

In order to deal with the numerous problems imposed by the bringing up of a handicap child (such as the trisomy 21), parents need help that would enable them to be active and privileged participants at their children’s education.

By taking into consideration the essential points of the early psychological treatment of the trisomic children, the case of Nadir (3 years old) seems to be a remarkable illustration that shows the importance of the action taken by professionals in order to face the handicap of the child.
