شهدت الجزائر خلال القرن التاسع عشر وجودا عثمانيا استمر إلى 1830 و احتلالا فرنسيا استمر إلى نهاية القرن و بعده.
و في كلتا الوضعيتين، عرف المجتمع الجزائري تحولات طرأت على بنيته الاجتماعية و هو ما سنحاول التطرق له في هذا المقال من خلال تبيان مدى قابلية المجتمع الجزائري التغيير، و من جهة أخرى مدى جاهزيته للحفاظ أو التنصل من القيم و المقومات الأساسية حيث يمثل موضوع التحولات الحاصلة في المجتمع الجزائري رافدا معرفيا جديدا على صعيد الأطر الفكرية و المنهجية بالرغم من حداثة المصطلح على المستويين الوطني و المحلي.
Abstract EN
Algeria experienced during the nineteenth century Ottoman presence and the French occupation.
In both situation, Algerian society known shifts which have occurred in the social structure.
In this article, we will try to address it by showing the extent to which the Algerian society change, on the other hand the extent of readiness to maintain or repudiation of the values and fundamentals.

Au cours du XIXe siècle, l’Algérie a connu une présence ottomane jusqu’à 1830 et une occupation française jusqu'à la fin du siècle et au-delà.
Dans les deux situations, la société algérienne a connu des changements qui ont eu lieu surtout dans la structure sociale.
A travers cet article, nous allons tenter d’examiner les transformations qui ont eu lieu dans la société et ces mesures de préparation de maintenir ou de rejeter les valeurs et les principles fondamentaux.
