Abstract EN

This research tries to shed light on aspects of the biography of the leader Nur ad-Din Zinki who died in 1174 AD, through studying the description of the platform of Al-Aqsa Mosque which was established by Nur ad-Din during the early years of establishment of his state in Aleppo, for installation at Al-Aqsa Mosque after its liberation from the Crusaders.

The description of the platform was written by al-Imad al-Asfahani, it is considered as a historical document that is not equivalent to any other text, which is in our hands.

The description deals with the story of this platform, its history, its founding in Aleppo and its taking to Jerusalem after it was conquered.
