Abstract EN

This research represents "The Image of the other (the opposite) in the poetry of Abdul-Rahim Mahmoud" to entrench the state of confrontation with the opposite approach according to a deep analysis to the poetic speech, the thought of the poet, and finally the ideological motives that formed the poet's vision and provided the image with the contents through stylistic techniques which devoted the role of the intellectual poet in formulating the revolutionary enlightenment project during the British Mandate.

The analysis provides the core of the image of the other (the opposite) since it embodies a style of cultural rooting of the other's features within the scope of the comprehensive Jewish and Western frameworks, and the obscurantism of tyrant in general in a clear undermining for the other's project who is still building his own authority by negating the land and abusing human dignity.

The researcher employed the descriptive style to enrich the contents, then he used the Inferential approach to study the whole image of the other (the opposite) in order to produce the summaries of the poetic speech through a creative vision of the other.
