Abstract EN

The study tackled the effect of nomadic pastoralists movements in South Kordofan State on the interrelationships between tribes.

It suggested that development process should be gradually practiced in sake of achieving positive social and economical changes in nomadic pastoralist’s style of living.

It is evident, from the study that the local (native) cattle treated by the nomads is the appropriate kind (for the time being) to be invested on to produce meat.

Producing meat is the best option in the area, that is because of its low costs of production, local experience availability and local and international available demand.

Designing development projects for nomadic pastoralists have to consider their economic, social, cultural and psychological inheritance.

The study highlights the role can be played by nomadic pastoralists through economic and social interrelationships between citizens of Sudan and South Sudan.

It is recommended that, the un-inhabited, free area, at far southern Sudan to be suggested as an area for semi- settlement projects for nomadic pastoralists to increase their products, developing wild land and creating good relationships with Southern Sudan’s pastoralists, emerging peaceful zone between the two countries.
