Production d’eucalyptus camaldulensis traite en differents regimes dans le sud du Rharb

Yield data are analysed concerning 35 year old Eucalyptus camaldulensis stands, planted on a soil that was previously covered by degenerated cork-oak forest.

The experimental plots are situated near Sidi Yahia du Rharb (Morocco ).

Four silvicultural treatments have been applied since the stands reached the age of about 10 years : ( a ) high forest; ( b ) coppice with 200 standards per hectare ; ( c ) coppice with 50 standards per hectare ; ( d ) coppice dearfelling system.

Though an adequate experimental plan is lacking, the following facts of interest may be gathered from the study : - the Systems ( c ) an ( d ) are the most productive as to total yield - the system ( b ) is unsatisfactory ; - the treatment does not influence diameter growth of the 50 biggest trees per hectare; - increment of high forest and of standards slacken considerably from the age of about 30 years.
