The research topic is about the acceptance of Palestine as a non-member of the United Nations and the reflection of that on the Palestinian people's right to self-determination.

The research has been subjected to the international rules that govern the accession of the United Nations, and the applicability of these rules on the Palestinian case.

It also discussed the role the United Nations in enabling the Palestinian people of their right to self-determination and establishes their independent state.

Then researcher reached that Palestine has the right to acquire membership in the United Nations as a state, without conditions or provisions include the erosion of the Palestinian people's rights, especially the right to self-determination over the whole territory and not only on the 1967 borders.

The researcher concluded that the decision of the United Nations to accept Palestine as non-member state, included provisions reflect negatively on the Palestinian people's right to self-determination on the entire territory, and weaken its legal position in upholding the right to independence and to get self-determination over the whole territory.

Then the researcher found a set of recommendations, and the most important is that any Palestinian request submitted to the United Nations regarding Palestine's membership should not limit the boundaries of the Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, because it detracts from the Palestinian people's right to self-determination over the entire land that it inherited from the Ottoman Empire.

As suggested by the researcher at the Palestinian diplomatic not to exposure to the borders of the Palestinian state when formulating any application for the membership in the United Nations, because the stating on the borders of the state is not a condition of membership, the United Nations accepted full membership of Israel without announcing "Israel" its territorial boundaries until today.
