Abstract EN

This study pursues to explore the reality of students’ usage of social networking in education at Teachers College - King Saud University, and then to develop mechanisms for implementing the social networks in educational process.

The researcher used a descriptive approach to achieve the objectives of this study, and the sample was 100 students.

The research results illustrated students’ agreement on the importance of all the vocabulary in the first axis, whereas statement: "If I got new information in the field of education, I am extremely keen to distribute in social networks" has gotten the highest percentage, which was 98 %.

The results also illustrated students’ agreement on the importance of most items of second axis, which consisted of (11) Items.

The statement number (6) "I collaborate with my colleagues in the performance of the educational assignments using social networking" and the statement number (9) "I enjoy using social networking in education" ; have got the highest percentage, which was 97 %.

Finally, Students agreed on the importance of all items of third axis, whereas statement number (1) "providing a high-speed Internet network in universities” and statement number (2) "providing a special social network for educational use" have got the highest percentage, which was 99 %.

In the light of these results, the researcher concluded this study with number of recommendations and further research.
