Abstract EN

The current study aims at identifying the extent of employing electronic learning systems and tools by teaching staff in the Palestinian universities.

To achieve the aim of this study, a questionnaire of (65) items was conducted.

These items are divided into two domains : first, the availability of electronic learning systems and tools in the Palestinian universities ; second, the level of employing electronic learning systems and tools in university education.

The study is based on the descriptive analytical method.

The sample of the study consisted of (135) members of the teaching staff in the Palestinian universities.

These members were selected from four universities randomly.

The study reveals that the systems and tools of electronic learning in the Palestinian universities were available at a high degree and with a relative weight of (84.3 %).

In addition, employing the electronic learning systems and tools in university education was available at a low degree and with a relative weight of (54.6 %).

Moreover, the study findings show that there were significant statistical differences in the level of employing electronic learning systems and tools attributed to the university variable favoring the Islamic University, and the informatics experience favoring less than five years' experience.

Additionally, there were significant statistical differences attributed to the gender variable.
