Abstract EN

The present study was performed in the animal house of the biology department / Faculty of education for girls to detect some of side effects were related with Paracetamol drug given on the fertility of males through the using of (60) males of Swiss albino mice from (Balb / c) strain at the age of three months, were divided randomly into four equal groups included : a control group injected with the normal saline (0.9 %) while the three residual groups were injected with the concentrations (0.25, 0,48, 0.65) mg / kg of Paracetamol drug .

The study results were revealed : a significant decrement (P < 0.05) in the body weights of the treated animals, the weights of testes, epididymes (capote epididymis and cauda epididymis) and seminal vesicles, the diameters of tubules, the thickness of epithelium cells that lined the capote epididymis, the percentages of spermatids and sperms, numbers of leydig's cells, the concentrations of sperms in the testis, capote epididymis and cauda epididymis, the percentages of living sperms in the testis, capote epididymis and cauda epididymis, testosterone concentration in the serum were resulted from the treatment of mice males with the concentration (0.65) mg / kg of Paracetamol drug.

On the contrast of that, a significant increase (P < 0.05) noticed in the percentages of spermatogonia and primary spermatocytes, sperm malformations in the capote epididymis and cauda epididymis because of the injection with the same concentration of the drug when compared with the control group .From the results above we can conclude that : the third concentration (0.65) mg / kg of Paracetamol drug was revealed numerous of negative and detrimental effects on the fertility parameters which related with the male reproductive system.
