Abstract EN

The current study considers the development of the external spaces (landscape) of the University of Kufa a suitable subject of this study and indicters designing propose the alternatives that accepts the needs of the users of the space.

The research methodology represented in the theoretical framework that includes three obects dealing with the concepts and basic variables for research, whereas the first one addressed to deals with the definition of the concept of landscapes and the concept of the university and study of the universities designing patterns as well as natural and synthetic designing components.

While the second aimed dealt with the most important design considerations that affecting it.

Will The third chapter included the practical (field study) framework has adopted the style of the critical analysis of the reality of the landscape event of University of Kufa that includes the analysis and application of indicators which derived from the theoretical framework and the adoption of the style of the collection of informations through personal interviews and architectural plans for the study location and a questionnaire to a random sample representing users of landscapes.

The conclusion after research and investigation environmental elements was main factor in the select of the plant material in land scapes also questionnaire results appear natural provide shadow by plants.
