Abstract EN

This study aims at clarifying the concept of modern drama movement and its main objectives in the Jordanian society, underlying the most important features of its position and reflection over Jordanian culture, identifying the pillars that increase its impact and emphasize its role in confronting the challenges facing the cultural, educational and media institutions of Jordan.

The researcher has used the analytical descriptive approach through analytical review of the literature related to drama and its role in cultural development.

The results show the importance of drama as a means of media and its prominent role in the sociocultural aspects as well as its role in strengthening the prevailing social concepts.
