Abstract EN

This research aims at clarifying the assessment of privatization of the public economic enterprises in Algeria from 1995.

This assessment presented in two big families: the first ones based on microeconomic approach, and the second based on macroeconomic approach.

Besides, this research tries to encircle and to analyze the causes of the defeat at the level of five dimensions: ideological and political, legal and institutional, economic and technical, social and cultural.

The assessment of the privatization of period 1995-2005 is not satisfactory, we even can say that it is a complete defeat under the tab of the physical privatization of public enterprises.

This defeat is the result of the conjugation of numerous cause: political, legal, economic and cultural.
