It was the product of this care and international efforts announced the Millennium Development Goals, adopted by the Member States of the United Nations in 2000 as an international consequent number of commitments aimed at eradicating poverty and promoting the principles of dignity and human equality and achieve peace, freedom and sustainability in the environment, in the context of policies of poverty alleviation , through efforts to increase the chances of choice for members of the community in a number of areas, particularly health, education and income.
