Abstract EN

This research delt with the structure of the word roots and their meanings in the Collection of Poems of al-Nabigha al-Zubiani, however, it studied the grammarians’ concept of word root, explaining the relationship between structure of the triple-word roots and their verbs in the meaning and structure.

Moreover, it studied the structure of non-triple-word roots in the Collection.

The study concludes that - after the presentation of the material: al-Nabigha used in his Collection the oral and typical triple-word roots.

The non-triple-word roots which were used belong to the triple-word roots added by either one or two letters and he was a link between the structure of the word root and its verb in the meaning and structure as explained by the grammarians
