دراسة تحليلية لأسماء الأعلام في مدينة بياكسي "تل أبو عنتيك" في عصر البابلي القديم (2004-1595 ق.م)‎

Abstract EN

The recently discovered city Pikasi ( Tell Abu-'Antik) and the study of archaeological discoveries there specially the personal names among the cuneiform texts studied considered abig stap to show light on historical stage of the city social, religions and ethnik, also it pay great attention to study the names to there researchers to know the rase and the ginder (male , fimale) of the person and the social level which belongs to, especially the name was linked to the type work or professionality, also this name is very important to know if there was any emigration happened by knowing how much that name was popular during that time and its differint than the other names at any times, and at the sametime according to rase charg from Sumerian to Akkadian or from Akkadian to another rase, there for the personal names are more than just names like its showing from the meaning and what it referce to.

Also the study of knowing names help us to rifire some unknown texts sorces to identify the history and location of some of this texts ( Texts unknown history and location) , that by comaning the names in this unknown texts to known texts by history and location, especially if this name was added by father names or accupation that helps so much to recognize the name to its historical roots.

The study of the personal names in the city of Pikasi shows that the great part of the names belong to Akkadian oriantaion plus theres also Sumerian & Amorite names, fourding those names to gether refer to mergone of lots of different ethnic and cultural in the area.

Also we notice that most of the names in Pikasi city are complex names, that some pet of the name is gods name, that were found in the area (Nabium, Shamash, Marduk, Sin, Adad, Aia, Ishtar ), that leads to those god had temple in Pikasi city, that’s why it was showing in the names of persons ther also the study gives as general view on the religions, political, social thoughts in the ancient Babylonian period in Pikasi city.
