Abstract EN

This paper entitled “Taboo Words and Expressions in English “ talks about the forbidden , unclean and dangerous words .Taboos are found in all types of cultures in the world .They are not only a social phenomenon shared by all people ,but also a common linguistic and cultural phenomenon .

The taboos have been increasingly reinforced with the progress of globalization , and intercultural communication.

It is very natural for speakers to make mistakes without understanding and having familiarity with cultures of various nations or countries .

Consequently , it is advisable for researchers to explore the concepts that are helpful or to find words as alternative words .This can be done in two ways : 1.Exchange taboo words with jargon words , 2.Exchange taboo words with euphemistic words.
