Jordan new cinema too late compared to other countries such as Egypt, Syria, Tunisia, Iraq and Palestine.

The year 1957 has witnessed the first cinema film under the title (Struggle in Jarash), this was followed by few experiments in industrial film, but they were modest and technically poor.

These films were faced with many and varied problems including the issue of determining the artistic genre of films.

The question emerged : is the film (Struggle in Jarash) considered feature or documentary film ? The deep study of the film necessitated analyses of the elements of the form in order to categorize the genre of the film, and to answer the main question of this study.
