English Abstract

The past years have witnessed an increase in the number of cases of litigation in the Moroccan press.

This might stem from journalists' illusion that they enjoy a real and total freedom of expression and that the Moroccan press has reached the level of liberalization enjoyed by the world press. This paper tries to examine two important and different cases of litigation: temporary ban and seizure.

The examination of the two cases is mainly meant to focus more closely and in-depth on the notion of liberalization: to what extent is it present in the Moroccan press and are its constituents fully respected and promoted by the VIoroccan law of the press? The study also shows how journalists have sedulously struggled to gain more privileges and establish a more liberalized press.

Still, success remains insignificant and far-fetched at present. Standing from the findings of this study, I have tried to make recommendations :hat may help bring concrete changes in the sector of the press.
