Abstract EN

The transformation of the world monetary system, from the fixed system of exchange to the system of floating exchange following the collapse of the system of Bretton Woods at the beginning of the Seventies had a considerable impact on the volatility of exchange rates of the international currencies the ones against the others, that was accompanied by multiple risks which touched the institutions having an international activity at the same time financial and commercial,and which recently caused a need for exchange risk management in the developing countries and in particular those which are crossing transitional period and which made application of certain corrective measures having influenced the exchange rate of their currencies –Among which Algeria - and from there has emerged the importance of exchange risk management at economic institution having an international activity and consequently the importance to know the techniques of covering and this while trying to largely concentrate on certain techniques available and applicable.
