Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to identify the educational role of Islamic media from Al al- Bayt University students’ point of view in Jordan.

The researcher used the analytical- descriptive approach.

In order to achieve the goals of the study, the researcher designed a questionnaire to collect the data, which included (63) items distributed on the three fields of the study: constitutive, preventive, and curative.

The population of the study included all students of Al al- Bayt University in the academic year 2013- 2014.

The researcher used the stratified random sample method to choose the sample of the study, which involved (1000) male and female students of the native community members.

Statistical analyses were conducted, such as: means, frequencies, percentages, and contrastive analysis test.

The findings of the study showed that reading Islamic books ranked the highest mean, while reading publications, magazines, and listening to the Holy Quran radio station ranked the second rank, and finally, listening to tapes and Islamic recordings ranked the lowest rank.

The findings showed that the constitutive role is the more effective than the preventive and curative roles.

The results showed that there is a significant statistical differences in favor of female students in the educational role of Islamic media, but there is no significant statistical differences attributed to students’ specializations.
