Abstract EN

The Holy Quran is a distinguished work with lots of artistic characteristics, some of which are still not known to researchers and scholars.

One of the most important miraculous aspects of Quran is the narrative form, in a way that is superior to even the contemporary narrative story telling techniques.

Therefore, investigating the narrative is such a significant task for the researcher who would also take the responsibility of expressing the miraculous narrative aspect of such a holy work.

This aim will lead so many literary and non- literary scholars to get to know this great source of knowledge.

Quite a few studies have been carried out regarding narration, such as the Austrian Michael Scrim’s “A guide to stylistic investigations”.

The present study attempts to have a closer look at the story of Mosses narrated in Quran on the basis of Scrim’s theories.

He suggests the investigation of narrative text to be carried out according to the base which he calls ‘category’, that is through three issues, symmetry, task and amount, each of which has got its own sub categories that would demonstrate some aesthetic aspects of the story.

The other aim the present study tries to achieve is to investigate the efficacy of the holy Quran in this regard, answering this question: Are the story elements compatible with Scrim’s scheme, and how these points would intensify readers understanding of the text? At the end, we have tried to approach the narrative aspects from psychological point of view.

The results are: First of all various aspects mentioned in Scrim’s theory have helped intensify the meaning and express the harmony of the signified.

Symmetry has caused the discovery of central action parts of the story and then demonstration of the new artistic way of depicting the events.

Task revealed the triviality and difficulty of the problems their role in developing the story.

Then the amount, which is the same as stage props, in time and place shows the era in which Moses lived.
