A group of male Swiss albino mice Mus musculus albinus were used to study the effect of lower level ofprolactin hormone on the histology of Kidney.

Bromocriptine was used as inhibiting factor, given subcutaneously injections to the experimental animals.

The total body weight was recorded immediately after death, the two kidneys were removed, weighed and the average weight of the kidneys in relation to total body weight was calculated.

The results obtained from the histological studies showed an increase in diameters of the renal capsules, constriction in glomeruli sizes and enlargement of the capsular spaces.

The number of granulated cells in both parietal & visceral layers of the renal capsules were increased too.

Changes include the proximal convoluted tubules as a hypertrophy and enlargement in their cells.
