Abstract EN

The significance of the study is situated in ; focusing on challenges that face progression of types of services are providing in Erbil–capital of Kurdistan Regional Government elder care institution by placed staff in the institution.

Secondly few studies have been conducted by researchers so far about elder people social and psychological situation.

Elder people faction is special social group in psycho-social aspects.

The problem of the research is the Kurdish society currently is witnessing swift social changes, which have led to introduce social problems that adversely affects social life patterns.

As consequence social changes affected elder people lifestyle and resulted in creating social problems for elder people.

This research focuses on elder people faction in Kurdish society, which the size of this group of people is increasing.

Additionally the researcher focuses on issue of weakness of family relation and instability of family unit.

However some family do not hold the responsibility of providing care to their elder members.

Therefore it is important to study the social circumstances and problems of elder people.

Study objectives: 1- Introduce to actual life of elderly people in Erbil aging care house.

2- Identifying approaches of solving elderly people problems in elder care house.

3- Indentifying challenges and barriers which face elderly people.

4- Providing practical recommendations and suggestions.
