English Abstract

The objective of this thesis is to systematically study the qualitative properties, stability and persistence, of a tri-trophic food web models.

Two types of tri-trophic food webs are studied analytically.

In the first type a tritrophic food web model consisting of one-prey two-predators with mixed selection of functional responses is considered.

However, in the second type, an investigation of tri-trophic food web consisting of one-prey twopredators with ratio-dependent functional responses is done.

In each type of the above food web models two types of interaction, including competition and prey-predator, between the two-predators are considered.

Dynamical behaviors such as boundedness, stability, global stability, uniform persistence, extinction of those models are studied critically.

Different mathematical tools and criterions for studying the dynamics are used throughout this thesis
