This topic was raised during a study of the picture of 21st -century Arab criticism.

This study opposes certain types of criticism, which the author calls “murky”, rhetorical and artificial.

The author claims that this type of criticism was and is still prevailing in Arabic criticism.

The author relates specifically to criticism which can neither be translated nor understood clearly and has no clear purpose.

The author provides us with samples taken from highly regarded Arab critics.

Against this “murky” approach, the author suggests two alternative approaches: The first is a textual analysis which focuses mainly on one particular text.

The second is a research based on computerized data analysis.

Both of the approaches he suggests guarantee the literary enjoyment of the reader and actualize the text through critical discussion
