More than 250 research papers have dealt with the “final strophe” (the poem of the Andalusian era) up until 1980 (R.

Hutchkuk).

Supporters of the Roman theory were interested in Roman strophe and almost totally ignored Arabic strophes which were written in classic Arabic.

This trend was particularly obvious among Riverah, Shtern, Gomz and Monro, who saw in the strophe a proof of the existence of the last Roman lyric.

They view strophe as the final remnant of the Roman strophe.

Thus, the strophe is an independent part and a general citation detached from the rest of the poem.

This essay questions the reliability of the texts which this theory relies on (especially those of Ibn Sina).

This research attempts to prove, through texts taken from classic eastern poems, that the strophe is an integral part of the body of the poem, and that the use of foreign words in the end of the poem is not an alien phenomenon in the classic poem.

We have discovered interesting texts, particularly for Ibn Al-Hajaj (Bagdad in the 4th century); Abu Nuwass, and Omani, who used Persian in two different places, in the end of the poem or in words which rhyme certain verses.

Ibn Al-Hajaj is quite an interesting phenomenon: almost all strophe elements are found in his work, so that the comparison has become inevitable.

These discoveries, together with some questions raised regarding the conclusions of a number of renowned researchers of Muwashah in the world, prove that in light of the absence of a new source, one should look for the secret of foreign words in the end rhymes of Andalusian verses in Eastern Arab poems.

Therefore, one should view them as a form of humor, vulgar and cheap entertainment which comes in the end of a serious poem designed for the court and not as a folkloric poem.
