This paper points at the most important mistakes parents make while raising their children.

The paper intends to draw the attention of parents and specialists in the field to the need for avoiding such mistakes.

The article indicates the role parents and families play in directing and guiding their children.

It also shows a number of ways which can be developed to bring up children.

In addition, the article relates to the negative parental tendencies towards socializing their children.

The writer has determined the causes which lead to parental mistakes in children up-bringing.

Some of such mistakes are: 1- inability to understand the nature of changes the children go through; 2- family conflict; 3- insistence on raising the children to suit the age of their parents; 4- excessive pampering and spoiling of children; 5- permissiveness towards one of the children at the expense of the others; 6- lack of order in the family; 7- lack of consistency and persistence; 8- lack of follow-up; 9- parental preoccupation and neglect of the family
