Without relinquishing its place as a language ofculture, French is currently asked to fui-fill two new reponsabilities ،'ft today’s world.

It is the cement ofthe Francophone world, and it is also an international working language.

This article aims, firstly, to briefly summarize the international phenomenon known as Francophonia.

Secondly, it seeks to propose and paths strategies to assure the French language its place in the world.
