Abstract EN

This research is subdivided into three chapters: The first chapter tackles Orientalism concept, its beginning, stages, and diverse attitudes of Orientalists towards Islamic civilization.

The second chapter deals with the beginning of communication of Islamic and western civilization with each other and the nature of relation between them and the factors that affected the formation of European vision to Islamic civilization during Middle Ages.

The third chapter focused on displaying some of the testimonies of Orientalists and their positive attitudes towards Islamic civilization and its influence in building up the civilization of Europe at recent time.
