Abstract EN

Within the context of the Middle East Peace Pro-cess the Arab World is witnessing several attempts to create a so-called " Middle Eàstern Market' in which the Israeli economy will be integrated into the Arab economies- This paper endeavors to examine the underlying as-sumptions of such concept,as well as the impact of such scheme on the Arab economy and the prospects of creating an Arab common market- The author assumes that the reconstruction of an Arab common market does not necessarily contradict with other forms of regional cooperation, to the con-trary, it reinforces the bargaining position of the Arab party in any Arab non-Arab cooperation.

The Arab cooperation is therefore an essential prerequisite for any Arab non-Arab cooperation.
