تم دراسة تأثير مضاد الـ Ceftriaxone على جرثومتي Pseudomonas aeruginosa و Proteus mirabilis من الناحية المظهرية، من خلال تحضين المعلقات الجرثومية مع تراكيز مضاعفة متسلسلة من المضاد مدة (4) ساعات.
أظهرت النتائج أن المضاد يحفز إنتاج تغييرات شكلية واضحة في المظهر الخارجي الجرثومي، كان من أبرزها استطالة الخلايا بمستويات متباينة و تكوين ظاهرة التخيط.
و وجدت الدراسة أن هذه التغيرات المظهرية تعتمد على تركيز المضاد.
Abstract EN
The effect of ceftriaxone on the morphology of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Proteus mirabilis was investigated by incubating the bacterial suspensions with serial doubled concentrations of the antibiotics for (4) hrs.
The results showed that ceftriaxone induces obvious morphological changes in the tested bacteria.
Cell elongation and filamentation, with various levels, were the most frequent changes observed.
The study also found that these morphological changes depend on the antibiotic concentration.
