This study examined the of the Role of the poet in the Arabian life before Islam.

The poet was considered the media of the tribe.

He contributed in all the activities of the tribe: battles joys and sorrows.

The poet has especial place in the tribe.

He attends the tribe's coun sil even if he less than forty years old.

He helps in making the pensoual itsand the solidarities of the cultural and social life of the tribe.

The importance of the poet a ppears through his concern with the rules and traditions of the tribe and in elaborations the tribal awareness and solidarity.

That is why protect it.

The tribe celebrates a boy born or a poet a pppear simply because the poet is the person who records victories and achieve ments of the tribe and these records are told generation after generation keeping the tribe's glorious heritage.
