We have dealt with in this subject of an important new research in the development of international criminal law, a special tribunal for Lebanon as a new type in the method for the formation of the Court in the history of international criminal justice.

In the introduction, the concept of a summary of this study, with reference to the International Criminal Court divisions of elimination of international provisional criminal code, which established temporary purposes, in times of temporary, as opposed to the elimination of a stable and lasting peace, which is the establishment of the International Criminal Court in Rome conference.

and between these two models appeared similar with provisional model, but it is available in which the characteristics that distinguish them from both models have made it a model called a special international criminal tribunals, special ad hoc study this special court of Lebanon.

in all of the reasons behind the establishment of the Special Court to Lebanon, the second chapter have been the stand on the legal framework of the Special Court to Lebanon where restructuring and jurisdiction and procedures before the special tribunal for Lebanon.

Finally, the assessment of the work of the special tribunal for Lebanon, in terms of the benefits brought by this Court, as well as the criticism, which was exposed to access the characteristics that distinguish the model special models for the rest of the International Criminal Court, with a conclusion reached by a group of results and recommendations.
