Abstract EN

The Kingdom of Nabataea was one of the key political entities emerged in northwestern Arabia from the fourth century BC till its downfall to the Romans in 106 AD, when the Emperor Trajan (98-117 AD ) annexed the region to be one of the many Roman provinces and it turned out to be called the Arabian Province.

The Roman sovereignty over the Arabian Province lasted about two centuries, and naturally a great deal of interaction occurred between the culture and civilization of the local Nabatean people and the Romans.

The importance of this research lies in its meticulous attempt to highlight the cultural, political and economic key influences of the roman occupation on the region since its occupation in 106 AD to 305 AD.

the latter year represented an important transitional period in the history of the Roman Empire and its political regimes from the age of the Roman Empire to the late age called the Byzantine Era.
