The topic of this research as reflected by its title is the techniques of digital and mathematical terrain modeling for morphometric analysis of Nisah Valley.

This the research focuses on establishing a terrain model (T.M) composed of two parts : 1-The Digital terrain model: this represents the technique of adjusting digital stereoscopic exposures of spot satellite through the adjusted sites of the geodesic net which the researcher has designed for this purpose on a number of the peaks and hills of Nisah.

2-The Mathematical terrain model: This represents the mathematical equations through which the morphometric properties of the valley have been obtained.

So the main goal of this research is to identify the morphometric properties of the Nisah Valley through the use of the Terrain modeling techniques, which is different from the conventional moiphometric methods.

The tatter calculates these properties from the contour plans or limited field work.

The terrain model technique prevents any mistake to be made in the morphometric data base which increases the precision in calculating the morphometric properties and increases their credibility.

The importance of this research resides in its appUed physio-mathematical from work which includes the establishment of a computer morphometric perception for the superficial draining net in the Nisah Valley.

This makes the research a technical contribution not obtained by many areas in the world that studied the valleys especially with respect to the establishment of the morphometric data base used to calculate the morphometric properties of the Nisah Valley.

The research is based on an analytical inductive quantitative method.

It is composed of the field registration of for the geodesic net sites adjusted on the GPS and the Riyadh geodesic net, it is thereafter used to adjust the digital coverages for the satellite Spot assigned to every 10 meters of the research area.

The methodology of this research is also composed of the analysis and adjustment of these registrations through small squares to arrive at the digital model adjusted by the coverages of Spot satellite views.

The quantitative aspect of this research includes the mathematical and statistical equations on which the morphometric rule is obtained.

This rule is used to calculate the morphometric properties for Nisah Valley.
