Abstract EN

Saudi Arabia is largely characterized by hot climate.

When blow in the country, the Northern winds greatly reduce daily and nightly temperature throughout months and seasons.

Using the daily temperature records from main (pilot) climatic stations in the kingdom, the study was able to find the number of days in which the northern winds prevail.

This was a necessary step for defining the frequency and the monthly succession behavior of these winds during the prevalence period.

Results from the previous steps were used to crystallize the thermal climatology of the Northern winds as well as defining the thermal dimatoiogical changes in these winds in different months the year round.

All the above-mentioned procedures were consequently used to quantitatively applying the parametric analysis in the regionalization and classification of the kingdom's climatic stations.

Obviously, the analysis is based on the different elements related to the monthly climatology of the Northern winds throughout the year.
