Abstract EN

The study aimed at finding out the extent of availability of educational principles for effective training of the government schools principals training program in Hebron Directorate.

To achieve the objectives of the study a questionnaire was developed.

It consisted of (58) items to assess six dimensions: planning of the program and its objectives, the content of the training material, the trainer, methods and objectives, training conditions, evaluation and measurement.

To establish its validity.

The questionnaire was reviewed by a group of experts.

To test its reliability, Cronbach Alpha formula was used, Alpha gained was (0.87).

Means and standard deviations were used to assess the questions of the study.

The population of the study consisted of all the principals who participated in the training program, (40) males and females.

The return was 97.5%.

Results of the study showed that the participants have positive views about the efficiency of the program.

They also indicated that the educational principles of effective training are generally available in all dimensions of the program.

Based on these findings, the researcher came up with a number of recommendations: 1.

It is necessary to involve trainees in preparing the training material; 2.

Trainers must use modern techniques; 3.

To improve training conditions in terms of accommodation, facilities and services; and, 4.

To develop a follow-up studies for the trainees after training.
